First Lady Michelle meets with Queen Letizia of Spain to promote “Let Girls Learn”

It was a fashion face-off of epic proportions when Michelle Obama met with Queen Letizia in Madrid today.

America’s first lady was joined by the glamorous royal in the Spanish capital, on what was the last leg of a trip to promote girls’ education in poorer countries and raise awareness of gender inequalities.

The ever-chic Letizia, 43, stunned in a sleeveless scarlet dress from Nina Ricci that showcased her toned arms, adding a pair of pointed nude courts and turquoise earrings.

Her guest was on equally fine form in a crisp white summer dress and metallic sandals as they posed for photographs in the gardens of the Zarzuela palace, the royal family’s former residence. The 52-year-old’s famously toned triceps were also on show in the elegant sleeveless frock from Delpozo.

The pair, who last met at a gala in Washington in September 2015, greeted each other with a warm embrace before taking a walk through the palace gardens.

Poor little queenie looks half scared to death that Godzilla is going to fall over and squash her.

Joe Biden would have made the best President… According to Joe Biden

Well, I’ve gone through one broken computer, one bed lost, a whole bunch of fidgety password recovery time, and a cold bordering on flu I’m stuck in the middle of. But I’m back.

It’s been too long, but I’m back.

So, how shall we celebrate?

Well, I’ll think I’ll start with a crowd pleaser on one of our favorite scumbags. And since it has been too long in my books since BMEWS has done it, I would like to propose an awarding of the BARKING MOONBAT AWARD, backdated to the appropriate time/week for this.

No, not Hitlery or Obummer sadly enough, but someone who is less powerful and more feckless but Really, REALLY should get more scorn than he has. And who I think needs to have his statements put under a floodlight given the latest report (which I’ll try and cover in a bit) that might make even the DNC think about a Clinton run.

I am talking about Lyin’ Joe Biden. Who earlier this month decided to put THIS lovely article up through some of the usual lap dogs. Read if you’ve got a strong stomach.

Because I really, Really don’t think it could fit anywhere better than this. Because the world has been way too kind to someone liek Joe Biden in the ways that matter to the public at large (and arguably given the death of his son a bit too harsh in the other ways, but as a citizen of this republic I have to prioritize what matters to The Public Thing than private grief).

We already Knew Biden was stupid and incompetent. This should not be a controversial thing to say; he was the person BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE joked about being Obama’s living anti-assassination insurance, in the same way that Charles II allegedly told his Catholic, tactless brother James. That much is fairly well known and it should be. But he’s so much worse than that, I just didn’t realize how much worse.


I knew that he was a liar since last - and especially since the absolutely DISGUSTING arse covering for Iran in claiming that their kidnapping of American servicemen and international law-shredding humiliation of them was “Standard Nautical Procedure” (Protip: It’s Not. Just imagine what the Golden Age Royal Navy would have done to somebody trying to claim such rights against their ships). That got cemented by his lies against Ted Cruz (which admittedly was all too common in the campaign). But those things? they “merely” establish that he’s inept, corrupt, and dishonest.

It isn’t until I read this article that I realized that in addition to these things, he is also A Fucking Megalomaniac. But apparently having just ONE in the White House with a job title that includes the word “President” wasn’t enough for Democratic National Party. Instead the sheer ARROGANCE has to jump off the page right at you.

Sure, you helped secure Virginia’s colonial frontier, endured terrible hardships to defeat THE MOST POWERFUL EMPIRE IN THE WORLD, helped unite the disparate states and factions of the Founders to crate the United States, the Constitution, and the institutions that endure to this day..... but Crazy Joe Biden is pretty sure he can take you.  Seriously… how much of an egotistical PRICK do you have to be to seriously believe this? Almost more importantly: how immensely, gravity-defyingly STUPID do you have to be to declare this belief IN PUBLIC?

While I realize that between two terms of Obama and a race that has seen Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump this is not an election season for the meek, I think that people still realize that on some level that one of the traits that has distinguished many of the greatest American Presidents has been modesty. Whether it’s the (somewhat affected/exaggerated) modesty Washington used even when he was at his most ambitious, to Lincoln making jokes about how ugly his face was, to Cool Caretaker Calvin Coolidge, to Teddy Roosevelt’s troubled childhood and soul-crashing end life. The knowledge of what you are NOT compliments knowledge and confidence in what you are, and some of the smartest things you can say in this life are admitting when you honestly don’t know the truth or aren’t capable of something, and when you ask someone who knows for help.

This is particularly important in a constitutional government, where you are Not the Monarch, you should not be a unilateral lawmaker, you do not have the right to rule unfettered by law, and being the head dog does not mean having a blank check to do whatever you want. It Is also particularly important in command of the most powerful job known because of how high the stakes are. And when you combine the two, well… no prizes for guessing how important this can be.

You are a Public Servant. You are meant to serve the public, and if the Public does not appreciate what you are doing it should retain the right to sack your rear end out the door. And if you try and make yourself more important than the system you damn well SHOULD suffer even harsher penalties. Which is another reason why our system suffers under the control of egotists and megalomaniacs: because they believe that they are the most important thing on the dance floor, and everybody else- hundreds of years of common law, local governance, and the like- can make way. this is also why I do think truly free republics prefer some degree of modesty from Presidents, and absolutely NEED people who will place the common good over their own petty things.

I don’t usually dig into peoples’ family or private lives, because I believe that without Extreme circumstances that should be one thing the gasping, gaping maw of government and public rubbernecking should not go into.

But I also don’t usually have to deal with people who have this degree of runaway ego. And no, I do not think that the tragedy the Bidens have suffered- and I can only imagine what the loss of a son is like- can excuse their patriarch behaving like THIS.

So let’s notice one thing he did NOT spend any time focusing on when talking about how right this was for him, and right for his family.. Where in this sorry, hagiographic article does ANYBODY give a livy-livered DAMN about what is the right thing for America? Apparently not Mr. Wonderful the President we deserve but not the one we’ll have.

let’s get this straight.

Biden the shameless liar, incompetent, and proverbial living job insurance for Obama claims that he would have made the best President if he ran- at least among the people in the race but Very Likely of all time- but that he didn’t run because he had to take care of his Family. Oh no America, you could have had Crazy Joe the President who was better than Washington, Lincoln, Adams, Jefferson, Reagan, both Bushes, any Roosevelt, and the like put together…

.. but you can’t, because Crazy Joe decided not to run. And why is that? Because he decided that things like the common good, the state of the union, the survival of the Republic, protection for its’ citizens, and all of that are *Trifles.* As far as his family matters are concerned, the Union can go get SCREWED.

In the context that this is being said by Joe Biden now, I find it deeply repugnant. And I will get into those reasons later, especially given that he is still Vice President. But even on the surface there is something I find wrong here. It’s one thing to care for one’s family, we should know as the family is one of the cornerstones of Conservative values and Civilization itself. it’s one thing to decide to focus on your family to the expense of political office (such as the many millions of homemakers and parents who never even THINK of running for office because they are too busy).

But I think an already-elected office holding official standing in front of the world and *gloating* that he would have been the best possible outcome in this presidential election but he simply won’t give us that option is something else entirely. It’s Lyin’ Biden looking down at the Rubes that elected his boss and stating they the PEOPLE are not worth it, but by the way he’s going to guffaw about how he would have been So Good And Great And Wonderful IF he had. It is in effect doing the inverse of what great patriots (see that word? Same root as Patriarch, and Father) have done if they TRULY believed it was for the best. It is not only putting the personal baggage of a handful of people over the possible Lives(and yes, let’s take Crazy Joe at his word about this for a bit) of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS.

And to top it off, this also rubbed me of the kind of “I’m too good for you flyover gits” holier than thou nonsense that has permeated far, far too many people over the ages and in politics today, like every iota of Obama’s miserable Presidency. We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For, we are the Miracle Workers.... but you all just aren’t Worthy of our miracle working compared to things like my personal, precious emotions. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that is the sort of thing that I picked up.

I never thought I’d say it, but Biden managed to insult and offend me in an announcement about how he was NOT running. And it gets worse.

Finally, something he and I can agree tentatively on. That to be President of the United States is to be the seniormost elected official of the US, the leader of the Free World, and the most powerful person on the Planet. It requires the great holders to be willing to put their petty issues aside and undertake the great task that can sometimes be keeping the system stable and doing nothing (like Coolidge). Let alone bigger conflicts like the Revolution, Civil War, or the global wars against the Central Powers, Axis, and Communists in the 20th century. It may be easy to forget with President Putt-Putt but the office is not always meant to be a golden hog to feast on. It often requires great, terrible sacrifices and it carries even greater responsibility.

So while I am not entirely sure if you truly must devote your whole heart and soul and passion to it (just because you may have to put your family and friends second to the job does not mean not caring about them), I generally appreciate what Biden said here.

But then you realize how this sentence rips a big gash into all of this family posturing, claims that he cannot seek political power, and so on. Because Joe Biden is the one who said it. Vice President Joe Biden.

Now Mr. Vice President, while you were waxing rhapsodical in this whole big long interview did you ever *ONCE* think what YOUR OFFICE TITLE MEANS? It means you the legal successor to the office of President if it is vacant. The Constitution states that if Obama keels over sometime between now and the swearing in of his successor the Vice President would have to step in and carry out all the actions and responsibilities of President until the end of that term. And as things stand, That Would Be You.

So Mr. President, if you truly were saying the truth in this interview, truly believed that you should not seek the Presidency unless you’re able to devote your whole heart and soul and passion ina a way you state you cannot....... WHY THE HECK HAVE YOU NOT TAKEN PAINS TO GET OUT OF THE OFFICE OF VICE PRESIDENT?

And this is not like this is some kind of super recent development that he was still reeling from and he didn’t have the time to file the paperwork over because he was so busy mourning. Beau Biden passed on a year ago. It was just a few weeks scant of being a year when this turd of an interview got dropped. So he cannot in good conscience claim that it was “Too Soon” or he did not have enough opportunities to lay down the burden.  He is still to my Eternal Regret our Vice President. And I REFUSE to accept any given excuse that a year of mourning, disorientation, and sorrow- no matter how bad- is a valid excuse for not doing what someone apparently feels is necessary when people like Lincoln and other great leaders worked through their friends and family DYING. So why on God’s Earth is he still Veep?

Is it because someone so wonderful and Best as you was Reckless or Stupid enough that you never considered this possibility? Is it because you were lying out of your rear end when you said those words and truly are willing to assume the mantle of power? Or were you being honest, but are just willing to stay in for the time even if it meant burdening yourself and the AMERICAN PEOPLE with you in an office You Are Not Up To Assuming Right Now *By Your Own Admission?*

I think I have my own ideas. But which one is it? And perhaps as importantly: how do Any of these possibilities make him good, much less gel with the unreal lauding he gave himself earlier in this very interview?

So what else is there? Well, of course he is confidently pulling for Hillary .... at least in public, considering how the DNC party machine works, the possible dirt Hitlery may have on him, and his urge to stay on the favored side of both. And there is the massive, shit eating quote here at the end where he says.

“My one regret is my Beau’s not here,” Biden said in the ABC interview. “I don’t have any other regrets.”

Like a lot of things coming out of this administration, superficially this looks heartening, feeling-driven, and all that fluffy stuff. While in actuality.... what kind of person on this world does NOT Regret the “reset” with Putin leading to invasion, the ineffectual withdrawal from Iraq, the kidnapping of American servicepeople in the Persian Gulf, colossal inability of the US to win or even break even on things as far afield as the Iranian Sanctions deal, Freedom for Cuba, or stopping the great migrant invasion in this position of power? Because whatever the answer to that question is, it is NOT A good thing. Not in any sense of the word.

Conclusion underneath the Cut. Because while this article is important in a number of ways, it’s not just about Biden. It’s also about us.

Breaking News, Scalia found Dead at his Ranch

I just heard reports of this from one of my friends. Apparently news is starting to get out that Justice Scalia was found dead at his ranch. I’ll try and get more news as it pops up, but I only wish it weren’t true....

If it is, Scalia was a rock ribbed constitutionalist and one of the greatest legal minds our continent has ever seen. And one that Obama will be able to appoint a replacement for.....

Sorry to co-opt Turtler’s post, but here’s a bit of an update ...

Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.

Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa.

Scalia arrived at the 30,000-acre ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people that night, according to a federal official.

He left the party and retired to bed earlier than others, according to Donna Sellers, a spokeswoman with the U.S. Marshals Service.

When he failed to appear at breakfast, a person involved with the ranch went to his room, where he discovered his body. A priest was called to administer last rites.

A federal official, who asked not to be named, said there was no evidence of foul play and it appeared that Scalia died of natural causes.

Chief U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia, of the Western Judicial District of Texas, was notified about the death from the U.S. Marshals Service. 

U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said he was among those notified about Scalia’s death.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott released a statement Saturday afternoon, calling Scalia a man of God, a patriot and an “unwavering defender of the written Constitution.”

“He was the solid rock who turned away so many attempts to depart from and distort the Constitution,” Abbott said. “We mourn his passing, and we pray that his successor on the Supreme Court will take his place as a champion for the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. Cecilia and I extend our deepest condolences to his family, and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.”

This is a terrible, horrible moment for America. My sympathies to his wife and family, of course, right now I fear for my nation. This is the man who ought to have been Chief Justice. This was one of the few people inside the Beltway who actually understood what the Constitution was all about. IMO, he rarely got one wrong; any SCOTUS decision that came down with “Scalia, dissenting” you pretty much assumed was wrongly decided. Like Kelo v. New London for example.



Can they find an honest person, a loyalist to the Constitution, to replace him with? Because just any “constitutional scholar” would give us another burrowing bilge rat like Obama, who obviously studied the system only to figure out how to subvert it. And we are that close ... one more false Constructionist justice on the bench, one more uninformed old hippie, one more racist lesbian trying to sell “social justice” as a special kind of wisdom ... and we are destroyed as a nation. 

So here comes the next battle. Unfortunately I fear it’s only going to be a Communists vs. Pussies battle. No real Americans are going to attend. Or be appointed. I fear for the future.

Please Let There Be More To This Story

First came the fact that President Barack Obama refused to address the arrest of 10 of our sailors by the Iranian military after their boats had mechanical trouble at sea. Then came news that the Obama administration had offered the Iranians an apology for the release of the sailors.

Now comes the disturbing revelation, apparently delivered by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, that the Obama administration tipped off the Iranians that our soldiers were lost at sea and requested their aid.

The news came from Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, during an interview on TheBlaze’s Dana Loesch shortly after Iran’s arrest of the sailors had come to light.

“I understand that (Secretary of State) John Kerry has indicated, look, when he got word, he and Ash Carter called the Iranians to help take care of our Navy guys, because they had some mechanical problems,” Gohmert said.

There’s a bit more at the link, but the main point is here above: the Obama regime shopped our sailors to the Iranians instead of following standard military protocol. They engineered their own slap in the face.

Now, why on Earth would they do that? What’s the point? Where’s the benefit?

Unless ... just maybe ... something physical had to be passed from one boat to the other, while the world’s attention was focused on the other part of the story, and here’s the video? This is what magicians call the prestige. The rest of us call it smoke and mirrors.

I don’t like being played for a fool, but at least if there was some kind of positive Secret Squirrel shit going on, it could explain a lot. OTOH, a traitor with enough power to create a minor international scene like this could pass across a bag full of missile tech, a box full of nuclear detonators, a drum full of tritium, a slug of plutonium, whatever, at the same time. And all we’d ever see is sailors on their knees. And I do mean create ... what do you think the odds are that two exquisitely maintained naval craft would break down at the same time??

Under Obama, Even The Cowboys Are Corrupt

BLM illegally sold thousands of wild horses for slaughter

The Bureau of Land Management, the agency tasked with protecting wild horses and cattle and their grazing lands, sold 1,794 federally-protected wild horses to a Colorado rancher who sent them to slaughter, a new report confirmed.

Between 2009 and 2012, rancher Tom Davis purchased the horses through the agency’s Wild Horse and Burro Program (WH&B) and wrongfully sent them to slaughter, according to the report from the Interior Department’s Office of Inspector General. According to the allegations and news reports, Mr. Davis also had farming and trucking connections with former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. [Salazar was Secretary of the Interior at this time, which oversees BLM]

The wrongful sale also cost taxpayers $140,000 to deliver truckloads of horses to Mr. Davis. He paid $10 a piece for the horses, or less than $18,000 total, and made as much as $154,000 in profits by selling them for slaughter, according to the report.

BLM employees never attempted to verify the information that Mr. Davis provided regarding his intentions for the horses he bought, despite the unusually large number of horses being sold to him, investigators wrote. The agency also did not stop selling horses to Mr. Davis after receiving reports that he was sending the horses to slaughter.

The OIG declined to investigate Mr. Davis‘ ties to Mr. Salazar.

The investigation was referred to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado as well as the State of Colorado Conejos County District Attorney’s Office, which declined civil and criminal prosecution, according to the report.

“It took more than three years for the OIG to confirm what we’ve always known – that the BLM sold 1,795 federally-protected wild horses to a known kill buyer who sold them to slaughter,” said Suzanne Roy, Director of the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (AWHPC). “Unfortunately, there will be no justice for these mustangs, who suffered a brutal death in Mexican slaughter plants. No one at the BLM is being held accountable for this betrayal, and Tom Davis is not being prosecuted for violating his contractual obligation to not sell the horses for slaughter.”

Snort. $154,000. She-it. Hillary steals that much every day.

The cold blob is unmixed fresh water from the ice caps melting in Greenland. It’s messing with the global currents and is going to slow down or even stop them and the multi-layer mixing that they do. And this will kill the planet. After all, 2015 has been one of the hottest years on record, setting records all around the world in 8 months so far. And the glaciers are melting in Greenland. And we’re all gonna die.

Really?

Honestly, this was a pretty frightening message. I must live under a rock and have pulled the sod in after me, because I’m not hearing anyone other than the kept-whore talking heads on the Weather Channel say a thing about AGW. Half a decade ago we couldn’t get away with it, and then all this sciencey stuff showed up, like facts and stuff, and then tons of insider information about a worldwide scam, and the next thing ya know, we’re hardly hearing a word anymore about Climate Change. And today this; the whole time Death has been stalking us and it may already be too late.

I blame Obama. Wasn’t it the great himself, the mighty Lightworker, supposed to cool the world and lower the rising oceans and so forth? Heal the planet and give everybody a high paying job at Starbucks? Pretty sure those were nearly his own exact words. So how is this even possible?

Obama visits Alaska. First sitting president to ever go there.

Yay, Mr. President. About time. Hard to believe it ... Alaska has been a state for 55 years now. About time they got a visit. Lucky for them, this was State #55 on his list of 57 states. 

But Drew, plenty of other presidents have been to Alaska! Ah ha ha, don’t get your dogsled traces tangled. Obama is visiting Alaska NORTH of the Arctic Circle, which is way the heck up there, where just about nobody lives. It’s the northern third of the state, of which about half is wildlife refuge and parkland. Hundreds of thousands of square miles of land, and the biggest “city” of Barrow has something like 4,000 people. So it’s the Big Big Big Empty. About the biggest thing up there are the remains of the old Cold War DEW Line stations, first cousins to the original military BMEWS system. Most of these radar sites have been torn down and abandoned. White Alice doesn’t live here any more.

He’s heading up there to rub noses with teh “Esquimox”, and use the barren frozen wilderness as a massive photo op to push his Climate Change initiative. So this is all political grandstanding. And maybe he can get a prize for another meaningless “firstie” for black people. First Community Organizer voluntarily north of the Line who wasn’t in the military or something. No word on whether the Firs Fambly will go with him, but rumors of cries of “nigga you crazy??” being heard on Pennsylvania Avenue are circulating. Currently experiencing a heat wave, the recent daily high temps in Barrow at the peak of summer have hit almost 9 degrees above freezing. Break out the lemonade!!

Boo, Mr. pResident. Obama visits Alaska. Gives white people the finger (again) by renaming #2 world famous mountain Mount McKinley, as Mount Denali. The whole range of mountains is named the Alaska Range, and this one, the tallest mountain in North America, just happens to sit in the middle of a gigantic nature preserve called Denali Park. It was named in honor of former president William McKinley. Yeah, but the locals have always called it Mount Denali. Really? What locals? The nearest town of any size is this place called ... Wasilla. Wasilla? Ruh roh!!

Obama flies to Anchorage on Monday morning for a three-day tour of the nation’s largest state, closely choreographed to call attention to the ways Obama says climate change is already damaging Alaska’s stunning scenery. By showcasing thawing permafrost, melting sea ice and eroding shorelines, Obama hopes to raise the sense of urgency to deal quickly to slow climate change in the U.S. and overseas.

His excursion north of the Arctic Circle will make Obama the first sitting president to step foot in the Alaska Arctic, home to Alaska Natives who have received less attention amid Obama’s recent efforts to improve conditions for Native Americans. In a major show of solidarity, Obama announced on the eve of his trip that his administration is changing the name of North America’s tallest peak, Mount McKinley, to Denali, its traditional Athabascan name.

Obama’s move to strip the mountain of its name honoring former President William McKinley, a son of Ohio, drew loud condemnations from Ohio lawmakers, including House Speaker John Boehner, who said he was “deeply disappointed” in the decision.

“This political stunt is insulting to all Ohioans, and I will be working with the House Committee on Natural Resources to determine what can be done to prevent this action,” added Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Ohio.

In renaming 20,320-foot Mount McKinely as Denali, Obama was instating a moniker Alaskans have informally used for centuries. The name means “the high one” in Athabascan.

Yet Obama was to navigate far more turbulent political waters when he arrived Monday afternoon in Anchorage, where his grand declarations on climate change have been met with skepticism by leaders in a state that’s heavily dependent on oil revenues that have fallen precipitously.

At the same time, environmental groups warned in the lead-up to Obama’s trip that he hadn’t done enough to protect Alaska and the climate. They took particular offense at his administration’s move just a few weeks ago to give Royal Dutch Shell a final permit for expanded drilling off Alaska’s northwest coast.

Oh, you hadn’t heard about that one? Well, remember how it was so ever lastingly vital under BOOOSH that “drill here, drill now” be brought to a screaming halt to Save Teh World? Even his glee squad at CNN is pissed at him for his latest sell out ...

The Last Frontier state is arguably the best place in the United States to see the now-now-yes-really-now effects of climate change. On the U.S. President’s itinerary: melting glaciers, struggling fishermen and the cultural dislocation of Alaska Native villages.

The Arctic is warming at about twice the rate of the rest of the globe, meaning it’s an obvious front line in the war on global warming. That Obama is highlighting the clear and present dangers of climate change is vitally important. It may help wake up the American people to a topic they’ve been slow to embrace. And it may help bolster Obama’s credibility as he heads into global negotiations this December in Paris, where world leaders will try to limit warming to 2 degrees Celsius, which is regarded as the threshold for dangerous and potentially unmanageable climate change.

That number—2 degrees Celsius—is also the reason, however, I find Obama’s trip to the Arctic to be rather ironic. Scientists have argued that the world will not to be able to meet its target of limiting warming to 2 degrees Celsius, measured as a change in temperature since the industrial revolution, if we tap oil reserves in the Arctic. Yet, that’s exactly what the administration is allowing to happen.

This is all a numbers game, as McGlade and Ekins show. To meet international climate targets, the world only can burn about 1,000 gigatons of carbon. We’ve already burned through more than half of that carbon budget, and could finish it off in 30 years if things don’t change fast.

Given that context, the Obama Administration’s decision to allow Shell to start drilling for oil off the coast of Alaska makes us look like junkies on the search for the next hit.

That’s clearly not smart climate policy.

Better act fast, because Alaska is heating up muy rapido!! Hmmm, I wonder if this could have the tiniest, teeniest, eensie-weensiest bit to do with any local temperature rise???

Alaska already has warmed 1.7 degrees Celsius in the last 60 years, according to the U.S. National Climate Assessment. Wildfires have burned 5 million acres acres this year alone ...

it’s no joke

I am sorry that I have not been very responsive lately to my E-mails.

I have been somewhat under the weather since my doctors informed me that I have an acute case of

Post-Islamic Stress Trauma with Apologetic Whitehouse Fatigue (PIST-AWF).

For those of you who do not know what that is; PIST-AWF is a newly defined disease that is found to be widespread and highly contagious.

January, 2015 - Doctors at the CDC released a statement disclosing a new disease that has already infected over half of the United States and is anticipated to continue to spread.
The disease itself affects the cells of a person’s entire body then goes dormant.
The disease ravages the body and leaves serious side effects.

These side effects have been labeled as PIST-AWF .

Symptoms include:
* Severe pain of the scalp from pulling your own hair while viewing your president pander to Muslim terrorists.

* Loose bowels from swallowing the fact we elected Obama twice.

* Extreme hunger due to vomiting from nightly seeing terrorists murdering innocent people.

* Bleeding from the eyes. This is not Ebola. It is your eyes reacting to accidentally flipping to a channel that shows Al Sharpton as a legitimate news show host.

If you feel you have Post Islamic Stress Trauma with Apologetic Whitehouse Fatigue, please notify your local election board and place your name on the list for a cure.

It is expected, and sincerely hoped, that the cure will be available in November of 2016. Thanks.

Obamacare Exchange Down The Toilet

Despite over $205 million in federal taxpayer funding, Hawaii’s Obamacare exchange website will soon shut down. Since its implementation, the exchange has somehow failed to become financially viable because of lower than expected Obamacare enrollment figures. With the state legislature rejecting a $28 million bailout, the website will now be unable to operate past this year.

According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser the Hawaii Health Connector will stop taking new enrollees on Friday and plans to begin migrating to the federally run Healthcare.gov. Outreach services will end by May 31, all technology will be transferred to the state by September 30, and its workforce will be eliminated by February 28.

While the exchange has struggled since its creation, it is not for lack of funding. Since 2011 Hawaii has received a total of $205,342,270 in federal grant money from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In total, HHS provided nearly $4.5 billion to Hawaii and other state exchanges, with little federal oversight and virtually no strings attached.

Despite this generous funding, the exchange has underperformed from day one. In its first year, Hawaii enrolled only 8,592 individuals – meaning it spent almost $23,899 on its website for each individual enrolled. Currently over 37,000 individuals are enrolled in Hawaii’s exchange - well below the estimated 70,000 enrollees that is required to make the website financially viable. Unfortunately, taxpayers will have to hand out an additional $30 million so that Hawaii can migrate to the federal system.

It’s not like the interface wasn’t standardized or anything ... they just can’t code a gateway for shizz ...

The plan, obtained by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, states the Connector will cease new enrollments Friday, discontinue outreach services May 31 and transfer its technology to the state by Sept. 30. The Connector’s workforce will be completely eliminated by Feb. 28. The exchange has 32 employees, 29 temporary staff and 12 full-time contractors.

“Staff reductions will commence immediately, with the executive director ( Jeff Kissel) exiting once the bulk of operational activities end,” the report said. “If the state cannot facilitate an orderly transition, the Connector’s operations will abruptly end, as the Connector does not have the resources to continue operations.”

The state was notified in March that Hawaii was out of compliance with the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, because the Connector wasn’t financially sustainable at the start of this year and wasn’t integrated with the Medicaid system, which determines eligibility for subsidies and tax credits obtained through the exchange. The federal government subsequently restricted grant money to support the Connector and moved to take over its IT functions to allow residents to enroll in coverage through the federal marketplace, healthcare.gov.

Ya, I kinda hate to say it, but once this crap was signed and sealed, there really should have been a big software design symposium. Design the federal back-end, the federal front-end, and the state front-ends all at the same time. Then hand out the front-ends to the states, so they can modify their copy by changing the name of the state and the wallpaper. And the state providers database. But that’s about it. It really should be an out-of-the-box solution, built, bulletproofed, and tested to bazinga and back again before release.

What a total rip-off this whole thing has been.

Crowder Gets His Fisk On

Sometimes you just have to take things apart a piece at a time. Steve Crowder goes after Obama’s “Poverty Summit” discussion ... because not everyone with a decent income is a “lottery winner” who can “afford” to “pay their fair share” of around 70% federal income tax. Plus state, local, school, property, sales, capital gains, motor vehicle excise, and all the other duck bites we’re nibbled to death with.

Another Web of Lies From Ospider

Well of course he did. Not only did we all realize it at the time, almost instantly, but it was to be expected for that kind of secret squirrel spy-guy and SEALS operation. What’s news is that the lies were done so poorly. Wait, is that news either? We all know he’s a lousy liar already. Right, but this one took the cake.  No, it took the steak; there was no cake. Cake is all in your imagination. Yeah, it’s that kind of thing.

Not everyone agreed. Robert Gates, the secretary of defence, was the most outspoken of those who insisted that the agreements with Pakistan had to be honoured. In his memoir, Duty, Gates did not mask his anger:

Before we broke up and the president headed upstairs to tell the American people what had just happened, I reminded everyone that the techniques, tactics and procedures the Seals had used in the bin Laden operation were used every night in Afghanistan … it was therefore essential that we agree not to release any operational details of the raid. That we killed him, I said, is all we needed to say. Everybody in that room agreed to keep mum on details. That commitment lasted about five hours. The initial leaks came from the White House and CIA. They just couldn’t wait to brag and to claim credit. The facts were often wrong … Nonetheless the information just kept pouring out. I was outraged and at one point, told [the national security adviser, Tom] Donilon, ‘Why doesn’t everybody just shut the fuck up?’ To no avail.

Obama’s speech was put together in a rush, the retired official said, and was viewed by his advisers as a political document, not a message that needed to be submitted for clearance to the national security bureaucracy. This series of self-serving and inaccurate statements would create chaos in the weeks following. Obama said that his administration had discovered that bin Laden was in Pakistan through ‘a possible lead’ the previous August; to many in the CIA the statement suggested a specific event, such as a walk-in. The remark led to a new cover story claiming that the CIA’s brilliant analysts had unmasked a courier network handling bin Laden’s continuing flow of operational orders to al-Qaida. Obama also praised ‘a small team of Americans’ for their care in avoiding civilian deaths and said: ‘After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.’ Two more details now had to be supplied for the cover story: a description of the firefight that never happened, and a story about what happened to the corpse.

The whole thing is just a rolling avalanche of lies. The only one consistent point is that Osama bin Laden is dead. And that will have to be enough.
